Pioneer Mining Company
Pioneer Mining Co. is actively mining in Upper Ganes Creek, a region known for its rich gold deposits and history of producing large nuggets.

About Upper Ganes Creek
The Ganes Creek placer mine and camp is located about 30 nautical miles west of McGrath, Alaska and is primarily accessed by air. The mining season at Ganes Creek begins about mid-May and continues until the end of September when freezing temperatures set in for the winter.
Pioneer Mining LLC purchased all the Ganes Creek claims from the Clark/Wiltz partnership in 2023. Pioneers' mission is to expand on the mining operations conducted by the previous owners. Pioneer has moved in a Macon SD500 capable of processing 200 yds of placer per hour and is upgrading much of the older heavy equipment.
